Not on all computers there is a window of a stop of the process

Почему-то не на всех станциях появляется окошко остановки текущего процесса. От операционной системы это не зависит, что на это влияет?

Привет !
"окошко остановки текущего процесса" это диалог из NCOCI8 ? Если да, то когда оно не появляется ? А так же какие версии Oracle8 клиентов установлены на станциях ?

Привет!
Да, это форма с кнопкой "остановить" из NCOCI8. Клиенты на всех машинах (NT и W98) Oracle 8.0005 и/или 8.0105 сервер Oracle 8.15. Какой им нужен клиент (хотя и под Win и под NT они на некоторых появляются)?

Привет !
Ну, в общем я тестировал NonBlockingMode только с 8.0.5 клиентом. С 8.1.5 - нет. Могу отладить, но нужна помощь:
- пример, который будет себя вести, как ты сказал;
- возможность и желание потестировать на 8.1.5 (мне его поставить некуда ;(();

Привет!
Опытным путём выяснилось, что это стабильно работает именно на 8.15 клиентах. На тех машинах, где это пока не работает стоит 8.04.
Но это тоже поправимо.
Эта функция нравится тем, что юзеры, поняв глупость долгого запроса (20 мин.) просто тушат программу. А толи Oracle так плохо настроен, толи у меня руки кривые, но сервер не сбрасывает обработку запроса и сервис Oracle потом не возможно не shutdown, не потушить. Вешается один из процессоров сервера - приходится перегружать весь сервер . А после break из NCOCI8 - всё корректно.
Если будет нужна моя помощь в тестировании - сочту за честь.

For Goran:
Prolis write there, that he have a problem with "Break query execution" functionality. Sometimes on some workstations, he does not have this dialog. And on some others have. In last his posting, he write, that on 8.1.5 client all works OK and on 8.0.4 - not.
For All:
NonBlockingMode in OCI8 is officially supported from 8.1.3, but works allready from 8.0.5. But in 8.0.5 it is unstable. So you will use it on own risk. 8.0.4 simply does not implement NonBlockingMode.
