My thoughts about AnyDAC and RemObjects

Hi,
I was a big fan of AnyDAC and its creator, Diman. I am not saying that I'm not anymore, but I feel very disappointed to see that AnyDAC was sold to another company. Now the product will be overpriced (US399,00???), and yes, I'm a current customer and I will have the final version (I'm wondering if I will have access to the sources, because it's the only way to make it work under Turbo Delphi Explorer). My concern is not about myself, but about other people that used to be very loyal to AnyDAC and Delphi (Delphi had better days in the past, AnyDAC was a breath of fresh air over it).
I understand why Diman sold it to RemObjects. Even AnyDAC license costs being so tiny, not too much people bought paid support. And developers can't be alive from coding only, they need money to survive. Maybe if you people had played fair and helped Diman a little more than only posting bug reports, this shouldn't happen... I'm sorry, just wondering...
Thanks Diman for all support and efforts you put on AnyDAC. It was a great product and I will try to make use of it as is (if I don't get sources from RemObjects).
Thanks,
Bruno

AnyDAC overpriced? Never. AnyDAC is one of the best components I ever bought and I am really happy with this. And when you want to use MyDAC, SDAC and ODAC from Core Labs you are paying much more and have 3 different componentsets. As long as Dmitry is available for support I will be a happy and satisfied AnyDAC-User and it doesn't matter for me when AnyDAC should be owned by anothter company. thanks Günter

2 Tyrolean: If even I will be no more available for support, then nothing will be lost, because now behind AnyDAC is staying RemObject. RO is powerfull and solid company with dedicated support team. I am expecting, that after release of RO AnyDAC v 2.0, RO support team will start to help me with AnyDAC support. That will happen not in one day, but in some months.
2 bootsector: As high priority technical support customer, you will get AnyDAC 2.0. There will be trial and full editions. You will get full edition for free.

I don't doubt that RO is able to make also good support, but I like your personal way of making support and help even when it is not really related to AnyDAC.

Thank you Gunter !
Anyway I am already close working with RO support team, to get into DataAbstract details. And discussing with them best approaches to support AnyDAC.
Although, of course, the main AnyDAC support workload will be on me, while I am AnyDAC developer.
Regards, Dmitry
