Deleting posts you don't like is not an answer

Hi Dmitry

I see that you've deleted my posts "Sad end of ThinDAC" and "New (positive) moment in ThinDAC confusion".

It is not professional. I would say it is immature. Can't you stand a little criticizm for the things you really MESSED up?

I know you won't like this post either, and you'll probably delete it. It is your forum and it is ok. Only, it will leave a bad taste in my (and other people's) mouth and it will tell us what kind of person you really are.

Best Regards
Zoran

P.S. In addition to deleting this post you can forbid me access to this forum as well.

Zoran,

i agree deleting posts is not the answer, and (even though i realize this must sound lame), that your "New (positive) moment in ThinDAC confusion" post was deleted most likely was a mistake - i haven't see it myself but Dmitry unfortunately had to cancel a whole slew of posts from a certain duo that was misrepresenting their stake and rights in ThinDAC, was being libelous against both DA-SOFT and its customers and went as far as demanding DA-SOFT customers to register with them. I can only imagine your post got caught in the middle and was accidentally deleted along-side.

i would be very happy if you could repost it, as we are every interested in all our customer's feedback and truly want to find a solution that will satisfy you all (where possible). please re-post, or (as offered before) feel free to email me directly at <mh at remobjects dot com> with any comments, suggestions or requests you may have.

(incidentally, your "Sad end of ThinDAC" thread was not canceled, i can still see it active?)

once again my apologies for the mishap.
marc

Hello to All,

Though I did not pay single penny for anydac and thindac, but I lament for what happened. So many expectations from Dimitry for he PROMISED many things and for this very reason guy like Zoran and me is not happy with the roadmap.

Dimitry I suggest you should apologize to your clients. ThinDAC and ANydac should not reached this far without them. You have started a humble beginning where in you gave it 'free' and people like you much for what you did. In fact, I should pay for the subscription because the guy whom I should borrow his credit card when for vacation. I should pay for subscription because you are very helpful and you are in need.

Its very damaging and you should know that.

Let Zoran tell what he feels and he should be notified before his posts be deleted. I agree with him, for he is really sad to the situation.

Marc, bear with us, your rem-object is too expensive to less fortunate programmers like us and have limited budgets for projects.

Anyway, may God reigns and peace to all...Hope someone have the knowledge like DImitry and share it as the way from the beginning.

Yes, but you see, the thing about 'free' is that, well, it ain't paying the bills. If you develop software for a living yourself, i am sure you realize that you too must bill your clients in a manner that allows you to (a) pay the rent and keep you afloat financially and (b) keep working on your products, for your clients.

the same holds true for everybody, and while it's always nice to get something for free, one should always keep in mind that there's a chance this free product won't be viable for all eternity, as the real world catches up.

in a very true sense, you get what you pay for; if your business, that makes your living, relies on third party products, you should expect that the suppliers of these products need to make a living, as well. Something that is not possible in the long term, with giving your major product away for free and selling a second product under price.

Marc, bear with us, your rem-object is too expensive to less fortunate programmers like us and have limited budgets for projects.

i certainly understand the predicament and i do realize there is a big price gap between, say DA and ThinDAC. But that price gap is also the reason that DA is what and where it is today, because the price we charge gors to financing further development and, just as important, everything else that goes together with providing a successful product, such as for example support.

i can only offer what i offered in these forums before: please drop me a mail to <mh at remobjects dot com> with your needs and the pricing you can afford, and i am sure we can work something out. we always have in the past.

yours,
marc

Marc

Your sentiment is good but it does not satisfy the commitment the community has made to DA. ThinDAC licenses were paid for. Projects were started on the basis of ThinDAC ver 2.xx.

RO with its taken over of DA products has a moral and ethical responsibility to service the DA product suite. To not do so in my view is a bad reflection on RO.

Albeit that I am requesting a refund because of the DA misrepresentation two weeks before the announcement to supply ThinDAC v2.x, it will nowhere near cover my cost to change to another product - whether is is RO or kbmMW.

I for one am not asking for the product to be supplied and supported for free!

If I do not get a positive responce I will be reporting this to PayPAL for refund...

Hello

1) You have purchased ThinDAC v 1.0 about 9 months ago. And you got ThinDAC v 1.0. The ThinDAC discontinuation does not invalidate that.
2) Also you had 1 month of money back guarantee. After that time we does not return money for purchased products.

PS: Please, do not multy post.

Regards,
Dmitry
