Connecting via Internet, Diconnect-Problem

Hello,
I'm connected over the Internet to a database, wenn the programm idle for about an hour the connecting gets lost. (connecting reset)
The internetconnecting is not the problem, it is not disconnected.
Is there a property wher i can set autoreconnect or something?
Or is there a timeout value anywhere?
