Dear AnyDAC Customers, today we are announcing that we have come to an agreement with RemObject LLC, to move AnyDAC development, support and marketing to the next level, and make the product available under our own DA-SOFT Technologies identity !

AnyDAC has always been and continues to be a high quality product that provides a fast and reliable access to the wide range of database systems. When we made AnyDAC 2.0 available under the RemObjects Software banner, we did so to make this excellent product available to a wider audience and introduce it to all RemObjects customers using Data Abstract for Delphi. We had also hoped that, over time, AnyDAC would become a more integral part of RemObjects product suite, and that the DA-SOFT development team would integrate with the RemObjects team.

For various reasons, the convergence of development teams and integration of AnyDAC into RemObjects product infrastructure never materialized, making our collaboration with the RemObjects team a pure marketing arrangement, where DA-SOFT developed and supported the product and RemObjects Software only sold it. This has been an arrangement that worked well, and AnyDAC has become a successful product, not in the least thanks to the outstanding marketing done by the RemObjects team. But DA-SOFT Technologies, at heart, is a software development company with the own philosophy, not only in the development process and the customers support, but also in the product marketing, and we wanted to offer to our customers our uniform vision - from development to marketing. As such, we have come to a mutual agreement with RemObjects that starting May 1, AnyDAC will be continued shipping as a DA-SOFT Technologies product and loosen its ties with RemObjects Software.

We would like to state again that this decision has been a purely non-technical one, and is in no way a reflection on the quality of the product.

What Does this Mean for Existing Customers?

For existing RemObjects Software customers with a license for AnyDAC, or anyone who purchases a license of AnyDAC between now and May 1 from RemObjects, there is very little that changes. You will continue to receive free updates to AnyDAC updates shipped for the remainder of your active RemObjects subscription, either as usual through RemObjects customer portal or directly from us. You will also continue to receive free support for the duration of your active RemObjects subscription, both via This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it or (recommended) directly through our own support channels:

We will be keeping the same yearly subscription model that RemObjects Software has introduced, so after the expiration of your current RemObjects subscription you will be entitled to renew your product, should you choose to do so, directly through us, at a current RemObjects renewal rate of $299/year.

If you have licenses for AnyDAC as part of a RemObjects Suite Subscription for Delphi, you will too continue to receive free updates for the remainder of your current RemObjects subscription term. After this term ends, you will be entitled to renew your AnyDAC subscription separately, directly with us. If you do so, then your RemObjects Suite Subscription for Delphi will be upgraded to the standard DA-SOFT AnyDAC Subscription.

What Does this Mean for AnyDAC?

AnyDAC always was, is and will be the DA-SOFT Technologies flagman product. We have the forces, the whish and ability to continue the product successfull progress. At 1-May we are planning to release AnyDAC v 3.0. And later we will publish the product roADmap.

What Does this Mean for AnyDAC Integration with Data Abstract?

RemObjects Data Abstract for Delphi team will continue to work with our developers to ensure current and future compatibility of the AnyDAC with the AnyDAC driver for Data Abstract, and to continue to enhance the driver to keep it one of the top choices for data access with Data Abstract.

As an AnyDAC customer, there is no action required from you at this stage. In the next few weeks, you will receive an email from us with details on how to access your account, support and product downloads from DA-SOFT Technologies. For your convenience, new releases for the duration of your current subscription will also be made available on RemObjects Licensed Users download site.
